Building On Our Strengths (BOOSt)
The Building On Our Strengths (BOOSt) project aims to improve maternity care services for women having First Nation babies. Our babies deserve the possible start to life and this starts with the care mum receives during pregnancy.

If you or your baby identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and you are planning to birth in the Shoalhaven/ Illawarra region, NSW we want to hear from you!
We want to hear about your pregnancy and birthing journey to understand what support you need and want from services during your pregnancy and early parenting.

What will you be asked to do?
1. Fill out the online Expression of Interest Form
2. Our community Researcher will get in touch to get some details from you
3. Start completing surveys!

Note: we invite you to do a total of 3 x surveys at:
- 36 weeks pregnant (or at any time during final trimester)
- 2 month postnatally and
- 6 month postnatally
There is also the option to have a yarn with us over the phone or in person to share your story with us.
